Asphalt concrete EN13108-1

Asphalt concrete (AC) can be used in all layers of a pavement. The product is a blend of different coarse aggregate sizes, fine aggregate, filler and binder. When combined the end product is generally a dense, continuously graded mixture that derives strength from the aggregate interlock.

Asphalt concrete is manufactured in accordance with EN 13108-1.
Asphalt concrete is predominantly used in Base and Binder layers but can be also be used as a Surface layer.

Different mixes are available to suit different end uses, applications include:
- New & existing road construction
- Heavy duty road pavements for ports, industrial roads and yards
- Car parks, residential areas and driveways
Specific open graded Asphalt concrete products can be used as part of a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS).
