Asphalt is inherently recyclable, and recycled asphalt planings (RAP) help us make the most of the valuable resources already contained within existing roads.
When roads are resurfaced, the recovered asphalt can be carefully processed, tested and incorporated into new asphalt products, giving these materials a second life rather than sending them to waste.
By using RAP, we can reduce our reliance on primary aggregates and bitumen, helping to conserve natural resources and lower the environmental impact associated with asphalt production. The process also supports greater transport efficiency, as vehicles can return with reusable material, making better use of the fleet.
Depending on project requirements, our asphalt mixes can incorporate between 10% and 50% RAP, with quality controls in place to ensure consistent performance.
