When asphalt roads are removed through the process of planing, the recovered material can be crushed, screened, and repurposed into new asphalt mixes. This not only reduces the need for virgin materials but also improves transport efficiency by allowing trucks to be backloaded with reusable material, maximising fleet utilisation. This circular economy model is changing the construction industry and supporting carbon reduction goals.
By incorporating RAP into our products, we transform what would otherwise be waste into a valuable resource. This reduces the demand for virgin aggregates and bitumen, which is derived from crude oil, helping to conserve natural materials and lower the environmental impact of asphalt production.
Once processed and tested, RAP can be incorporated into new asphalt mixes at levels ranging from 10% to 50%, depending on the project’s requirements. These quality controls ensure the recycled material performs just as reliably as virgin asphalt. As a result, RAP‑enhanced mixes are suitable for a wide range of applications, delivering durability and resilience comparable to traditional materials.
