Breedon Superior is a polymer-modified high-performance asphalt, designed to deliver superior durability for demanding applications.
By incorporating elastomeric bitumen, Breedon Superior outperforms traditional materials in fatigue resistance, deformation resistance, cracking and water sensitivity - making it ideal for heavily trafficked locations, roundabouts and other sites where structural integrity is critical.
Breedon Superior is available in a wide range of materials including base, binder and surface courses, and can be produced in different aggregates sizes to suit different layer thicknesses.
By combining a specially designed aggregate structure it delivers enhanced adhesion, cohesion and thermal resistance to create a flexible and robust asphalt which can adapt without compromising strength and with reduced maintenance requirements.

Breedon Superior contains a specially engineered PMB that significantly improves resistance to rutting, cracking and fatigue. This creates a more durable and longer-lasting surface course, especially in high stress or traffic areas.
Yes – its improved durability means reduced surface failures and therefore a longer service life. This means that it has lower overall lifecycle costs compared with conventional materials.
Breedon Superior is ideal for areas with high levels of braking, turning or loading on sites such as heavily trafficked roads, roundabouts and bus lanes. It is also a strong option for overlaying aged pavements that require improved resilience.
