Breedon Track is based on Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA), engineered specifically for the rigorous demands and exceptional grip requirements of racetrack surfaces, setting it apart from regular highway asphalt.
Available in a 6mm and 10mm surfacing option and different PSV aggregate options, this product has high resistance to fretting and long term wear. The option of including PMB can further boost this durability. The impermeable mix offers exceptional ride consistency with reduced noise and spray - crucial for high speed performance and driver safety.
Whilst traffic on racetracks is lower, the exceptional high lateral forces imparted on bends, and longitudinal forces with breaking, means that very different requirements are placed upon the asphalt - for this reason, Breedon Track is designed on a track by track basis by our expert labs, meaning all necessary parameters are met and any engineering obstacles overcome for an optimal product.
