This high-performance range of enhanced workability asphalts is designed with a higher binder content and tightly packed aggregate structure to improve flexibility, workability and resilience. Ideal for hand-lay applications, Breedon Enriched™ is well suited to smaller schemes, maintenance works and locations where machine laying is impractical.
The elevated binder content helps improve resistance to fretting, wear and surface abrasion, making them suitable for areas subject to tight turning movements, frequent loading and localised stress. The enhanced flexibility reduces the risk of fatigue cracking, and the improved moisture resistance helps limit water ingress and support long-term surface performance.

Breedon Enriched™ is available in 6mm, 10mm, 14mm, 20mm and 32mm nominal sized asphalts.
Breedon Enriched™ contains approximately 0.5% more binder than standard asphalt concrete mixes, delivering greater durability, improved flexibility, enhanced moisture resistance, and a smoother, longer‑lasting surface finish. This makes it ideal for high‑performance and heavily trafficked applications.
Yes. The binder course can be opened to traffic once it has cooled sufficiently, helping to minimise disruption. However, the surface course should remain free from traffic for at least 24 hours after installation, and potentially longer during hot weather to ensure optimal performance, durability, and surface finish.
