Developed for driveways, housing developments, private roads, light traffic areas and car parks, this modified stone mastic asphalt delivers a smooth, uniform appearance with enhanced durability and ease of installation.
Breedon Drive™ is built to withstand the demands of modern vehicle use, resisting scuffing, cracking, deformation, and fuel or oil contamination. It performs reliably under repeated manoeuvring, power steering movements, and increased surface temperatures.
Suitable for hand laying year-round, it can typically be opened to traffic within 24 hours, subject to weather and site conditions. Available in 6mm and 10mm grades, and supplied in black and red (from select locations).

Breedon Drive™ is specifically designed to provide a durable, long-lasting surface for residential driveways and developments. When installed and maintained correctly, it can be expected to deliver a service life of 15 to 30 years, depending on factors such as traffic levels, ground conditions, and ongoing maintenance.

The amount of asphalt required will also depend on factors such as the specified layer thickness, surface condition and ground levels.
We'd always recommend following engineer-designed specifications for an accurate figure.
Breedon Drive™ can be laid by hand or with a paver using traditional methods.
The existing surface must be clean, stable, and free from standing water, ice, mud, dirt, and loose material.
Typically, the surface course is laid onto a 50–60 mm thick Asphalt Concrete binder course over a well-compacted Type 1 sub-base.
