Backfill materials for cable installations are materials used to surround and cover buried cables (e.g. electrical, telecom, or fibre optic) once they are laid in a trench. These materials protect the cables from mechanical damage, moisture, chemical attack, and thermal stress, while also helping to maintain proper positioning. Materials used in these applications need to meet the Energy Network Association Technical Specification (ENATS) specification.

We can supply a range of selected sand, gravel/sand and cement bound sand backfills compliant with ENATS 97-1 from a range of sources across Great Britain.
