Breedon Ireland recently worked on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Westmeath County Council to carry out Road Resurfacing Works on the N52 Belvedere Phase 2 Mullingar Co. Westmeath.
The €2.4 million project was completed in July 2022 during night time hours from 1900hrs to 0600hrs.
The extent of the works involved Cold Milling of the existing Surface Course on 3.2km of national roadway to include three roundabouts. Traffic management played a key role in closing the national road and diverting the traffic each night. Breedon was responsible for the removal of 4,500 tons of existing pavement to our Kinnegad depot for recycling and supplying and placing of 9,500 tonnes of Bituminous Materials.
