Breedon Group plc (“Breedon” or the “Group”), a leading vertically-integrated construction materials group is thrilled to announce the unveiling of a unique elephant sculpture at their Ballycoolin office in Dublin, in collaboration with Elephant in the Room, a distinguished wellbeing organisation. This initiative underscores Breedon's commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing among its colleagues and the wider community.

The elephant sculpture, designed through a collaborative effort involving Breedon’s colleagues and their families, serves as a symbol of strength and support for those facing mental health challenges. It embodies the Group's dedication to fostering open discussions about mental health and breaking the associated stigma.

Today's unveiling event not only celebrates the creativity and teamwork of the Breedon team, but also emphasises the importance of addressing mental health issues in the workplace and beyond. The sculpture will feature a plaque with a poignant statement reflecting the Group’s values:

“At Breedon, our employee’s wellbeing, happiness and mental health is paramount to us. This elephant symbolises an important topic that everyone knows about, but no one discusses. Let’s get the conversation going about mental health. 'Sometimes we see an elephant, and sometimes we do not. The result is that an elephant, when present, is noticed.'
